CNN is reporting this afternoon that Newt Gingrich is out as a Fox News contributor:

The Fox News statement notes the “intense media speculation about Gingrich’s potential selection as Donald Trump‘s vice presidential candidate,” so time will tell if he’s actually getting it…

He's out at Fox regardless. His only angle was as potential VP. The dude is clueless on everything.

He's useless to any top line news channel if the VP selection is imminent. Even if it'snot Newt, Newt is not a big catch for the News network.
