I'm not sure what forum to post this under so I'll allow moderators to move it as they see fit.

I just read that Thaddeus Mccotter, in a safe Michigan Republican district, may have not turned in enough signatures to make it on the August 7 ballot, meaning that he might lose the GOP nomination for his district's seat by not being on the ballot. It is more interesting that his challenger in the August 7 primary, Kerry Bentivolio might be a liberty candidate, but I have limited information on him, other than his campaign for liberty page and an endorsement on his website. If Mccotter is indeed off the ballot, this could present a tremendous opportunity for us to elect a liberty candidate in his district!

are we ready to launch a bandwagon? cause i'm certainly in the mood. Imagine two liberty candidates from Michigan. Amash and Kerry

A write up from KOs. Looks like a pretty even district (New District Lines Voted for Obama over McCain 50%-48%).

Very interesting development. Could this be the Super PAC surprise on Monday?

I met Kerry at the Oakland University debate RP rally at a local restaurant. Seemed like a good guy.

This is my district, hope this news is true.

Note that the bill number for Ron's bill has changed and if it hasn't passed would have to say 'in the form of' in any event because by the time this guy comes in, it will be a new congress and Ron won't be there.
