I subscribed to the NBC's Peacock streaming service just to watch this (got some promo deal for I think $30/year). Just finished watching it (9 episodes) last night. I liked it - thought the first half was good, quality dipped around episodes 5 - 8 but then a solid finale. Anti-authoritarian for sure. Keep in mind this is rated for mature audiences. Been a long time since I read the book so I can't say how it compares

The free streaming deal is over but I just watched an interview w/ Ted Cruz talking about Brave New World and he brought up a great Huxley quote:

“Within the next generation I believe that the world’s rulers will discover that infant conditioning and narco-hypnosis are more efficient, as instruments of government, than clubs and prisons, and that the lust for power can be just as completely satisfied by suggesting people into loving their servitude as by flogging and kicking them into obedience. In other words, I feel that the nightmare of Nineteen Eighty-Four is destined to modulate into the nightmare of a world having more resemblance to that which I imagined in Brave New World. The change will be brought about as a result of a felt need for increased efficiency. Meanwhile, of course, there may be a large-scale biological and atomic war—in which case we shall have nightmares of other and scarcely imaginable kinds.”

Let me edit and modify this a bit for 2020:

Within the next generation I believe that the world’s rulers will discover that public education and mass media are more efficient, as instruments of government, than clubs and prisons, and that the lust for power can be just as completely satisfied by suggesting people into loving their servitude as by flogging and kicking them into obedience. In other words, I feel that the nightmare of Nineteen Eighty-Four is destined to modulate into the nightmare of a world having more resemblance to that which I imagined in Brave New World. The change will be brought about as a result of a felt need for increased safety and social justice. Meanwhile, of course, there may be a large-scale biological lockdown and racial rioting —in which case we shall have nightmares of other and scarcely imaginable kinds.
