This occurred to me just now. It is quite possible that the ONLY reason we got coverage for the first moneybomb was because the media was able to spin it as a bad thing i.e. a bunch of anarchists who want to give money to RP so we can blow up government building or something to that effect.

So then, why did we not see any coverage about the single largest political fund raiser in history? Is it because topping the amount of money raised by Kerry on the day he accepted his party's nomination not really a big deal? No in fact it's the exact opposite.

It's a HUGE deal and the MSM way of dealing with it is to simply mention it in passing as if it's not big deal at all, instead they talk about McCain ridiculous Lieberman endorsement...

People, Paulites, Friends, and Fellow Patriots the war is upon us!

It's a war against war. It's a war against the establishment. We can no longer stand idly by and wait for the media to pay attention. We instead must do something so drastic that they have no choice but to listen: we must tell every single person we know and every single person we meet how imperative it is that they vote for Ron Paul and we must fight our ways to the polls, bringing as many as we can drag with us, until Ron Paul is able to take that oath of office and we finally have a president willing to uphold the constitution once again!

LET IT NOT BE SAID THAT WE WERE SILENT
LET IT BE SAID THAT WE SCREAMED AT ROCKS AND MADE THEM LISTEN

I completely agree and believe we should start thinking about how to change big media and fast. We should study the 60's, they had no internet and had to be much more creative in creating big publicity stunts.
We should do anything possible really, but I think the easiest way would be to show up on their doorsteps , preferably soon and before super tuesday.

You are correct! They only mention Ron paul, ESPECIALLY on fox news, when they can give it a bad spin. But I don't think Guy Fawkes day was really a good idea, allowing the media to put that spin on things. Instead, just 6 days later we could have done something big on veterans day. The END of a WAR! Much more positive. The Boston Tea Party works the best though in my opinion.

I was at the Austin one. We had well over a THOUSAND people in attendance. it was AWSOME.

So you can imagine how hacked I was, to read an article by a so called reporter for the Ausitn American Statesman, claiming (and I quote) "...about 200 people attended the event."

I wrote him and sent a link to a video taken of people marching down from teh Capitol toward Lady Bird Johnson Lake, to the Tea Party.

The video showed WELL OVER a thousand people walking by. We had the entire right side of Congress Avenue. There were about nine motorcycle cops working traffic control, and two police boats in the river.

The papers and the televisino stations took tight photos of the re-enactment tossing the boxes into the River and made it appear there were about twenty people involved.

I sent the video, and asked the guy, "....Does this look like 200 people to you? Even an Austin motorcycle cop said there was well over a thousand there. Why do you think, it would take eight motorcycle cops and two police boats, to handle security for a gathering of "....about 200 people?"

Needless to say, the gutless wondre has yet to respond. I was very polite. But I must admit, if there is any alteration to the Constitution needed, it is in the First Amendment. The protection of a "free press" should change to be a protection of a "truthful press".

My Dad (rest his soul) was an old newspaper man. He would have been madder than hell, to see such disingenuous, purposeful supression of the truth. The press is working AGAINST the Republic, not FOR the Republic it is protected by.

I think you're right. Ask yourself this... If McCain had broken the one day presidental campaign donation record, would it have been a bigger story than a Lieberman endorsement? I think they would have not shut up about it all day.

Answer: Your blind? Sorry but there was a huge jump in coverage for RP after the 16th. It seemed to take a day or two to really kick in. But yesterday alone RP was on fox and friends, cnn morning news, Morning Joe on MSNBC, Glen Beck, he made front page of cnn, and front page of yahoo. And thats probably leaving out some short mentions here and there. He's got a spot on meet the press the 23rd. Drudge put up Ron quoting Sinclair Lewis. I could probably keep going. The money bomb has done HUGE things for RP publicity in the "Old Media". I beginnning to think that some of you would still be complaining if the news channels ONLY covered RP.

I agree completely with you VT..what is with anyone? I must have seen him on TV 3 times yesterday for hours..the Houston Chronical did a Loooong interview, along with all you said. He had fantastic media coverage and they ALL said that they had gotten thousands of emails. We should be thanking them, not tanking them.

Thanks for the attack, but if you would notice I posted this the day after the money bomb and there had been no coverage at that time.

The on the other hand there was coverage and I saw every bit of it as I look up everyone RP video I can find every single day.

So, please get your facts straight before you jump to conclusions.

I would also like to point out that though coverage did pick up in the last week, much of media still seems to be on the attack. Which, I suppose is better than nothing at all .

Guy fawkes day is a celebration of a democratic government not being overthrown by religious extremists.

Another great point, yet this isn't how the media spun it. People in this country know what the Boston Tea Party was for and the media had no way to spin that in a bad light which is why it still GOT LESS coverage than the first and smaller 'moneybomb.'
