The state of Georgia is planning to execute Troy Davis tonight. Troy is very likely innocent of the murder he was convicted of. There was no physical evidence, and most of the witnesses who testified against him are now changing their story.

The clemency board declined to grant clemency however.

Among the many names to speak out in Troy's favor: Bob Barr.

However, he also holds that the death penalty should only be used in cases with 0 doubt and where it is arguably just.

I am not a supporter of the death penalty, but his position is better than the others. At least idealism comes into play; like the law, it takes diligence to keep a good standard. Unfortunately, Barr here assumes government will keep the proper amount of diligence to limit the death penalty. Not something that would stop me from voting for him though.

hey guys...they just gave that Georgia Man a stay of Execution by the US Supreme Court!....
