I did not know Ron Paul dropped out. But according to Bob Barr's google ads Ron Paul did! Just add another reason why I wont vote for him, he is a liar.

How do you know that the Barr campaign made these ads?

theres something about barr i just dont trust....its my womans intuition telling me this...and ive learned thru the years to always trust my feelings

I just called Bob Barr and made the staff aware that Bob was making comments that Ron Paul supporters perceived as insinuating Ron Paul has dropped out of the race.

She said that Bob was just about to do an interview and she would tell him about the concerns and try and make sure he does not insult Ron Paul supporters.

I would rather him be honest and not have to "try not to insult"

His speech for Ron Paul is what attracted some of us to him. I think if he just continues the respect he showed then, he would be on the right track.

Barr is a mess. hes obviously working for the puppetmaster. everytime i heard him lately he sounds like his sole job is to make it appear that Paul is out of the race. i suspect hes another Kerry or Nader type wolf-in-sheep-clothing.

This should be interesting . . .

The Freedom Rally is in DC today and, of course, RP will be speaking. Barr is also scheduled to speak. SOOOO, I understand why Barr might not want to upset Ron Paul supporters in his speech today . . . .

Where did you even see these ads? I haven't seen them, and I happen to think Bob Barr isn't the scum you make him out to be. I'll be voting for Ron, but Bob is a good dude.

I saw the ads on this forum. I forgot to take a screen shot. If they come around again I will

I don't think it's anything intentional...I doubt Barr himself approved/was aware of the exact wording of the ad. That said I have seen him make some ill-considered remarks regarding RP and I hope his campaign does become much more sensitive to the issue.

I'll probably vote for Barr if he gets the LP nomination but I won't be campaigning for him or sending money, for two reasons. (1) The LP has proven itself entirely ineffectual at advancing the cause of liberty, and (2) Barr has not convinced me that his libertarian "transformation" on such major issues as non-intevention overseas and the drug war at home are genuine and/or complete.

From wikipedia:
While in Congress..."Barr was a strong supporter of the War on Drugs and adamantly opposed the legalization of medical marijuana. He successfully inserted an amendment in a District of Columbia funding bill that blocked the implementation of a medical marijuana initiative that had passed a referendum. He remarked that marijuana "has no place in medicine, no place in pain relief, and ... no place around our children."

From a 2006 Reason interview:
"...certainly there's a lot of room in the Libertarian Party for people who have differing views on drugs, or differing views on other issues, and that's the sign of a mature party, that it will accommodate those differences."

Ditto that. I can't quite put my finger on it...or maybe it's a combination of seemingly minor things. I don't know but I don't care for him, either. However, I fell head over heels for Ron Paul the very first time I heard him open his mouth. :D

Given Barr's flip-flopping and pandering, I wouldn't vote for him for dogcatcher, much less POTUS.
