This is a tired and worn-out gambit and its high point (that is, low point) has already probably been reached in the Twitter feed of deluxe troll Charles C. Johnson:

Trolls gonna troll.

Well, it looks since Jebby boy announced he's essentially running, the media has been an extension of his arm and mouth without him even having to get involved. These people are going to stop at nothing. I sure hope Rand's people who are hold overs from Ron's campaign are experienced enough now to have the foresight into what the media is going to do before they do it and already have a plan in mind to counter it the best they can.

And so it begins. No name bloggers get hits on their channel by randomly insulting a Paul. Only this time the stupidity has reached new lows. I mean really, who actually believes the shooter in this case was following republican politics?

I could believe that the shooter in this case watched CNN...

If anti-cop rhetoric kills cops, that is not a reason to stop doing it. Criminals should be held accountable, and the fact that some people go too far in doing that doesn't mean that those who are doing the right thing are magically wrong. Rightness and wrongness of actions isn't determined by results. And frankly, I think that's a lesson cops probably need more than cop-killers do.

Okay. I'll bite. So the shooter is seeing people yell "No justice no peace" and Mike Browns step father saying "Burn this mother down" and he gets set off by Rand Paul saying the cigarette tax is too high? Ummmm......okay.

Interesting this guy is playing up the "Sony hack was an inside job" on his twitter account as well.

I assume sarcasm? If anything this would be evidence that he hasn't. This, and his recent anti-torture statements, tell me that while Rand Paul is by no means ideal or completely libertarian, he really is better than the status quo.

YAY! FF is coming around! :p:p:p

There is a bit of a flame war going on in the backwater blogs over this. The copsuckers are apoplectic.

I've been somewhere near here for awhile. I disagree with the people who pretend Rand is really just like Ron. I also disagree with the people who say he's just like Romney, Obama, or the other establishment hacks.

I still have some real problems with some of Rand's positions. He doesn't want to shut down the bases, he doesn't want to legalize all drugs, he isn't a strict noninterventionist, he called Chris Kyle a "hero" (which I think is way more harmful than it looks) and so forth. Do I understand why he does things like that? Yes. But it still does make him inferior to Ron, in my mind.

He's still way better than 99% of Republicans though.
