Looks like they blocked the vote in Ohio by disallowing the libertarian Charlie Earl to run for Governor and so the people are again disfranchised in a manner reflective of the practices in previous election cycles.

An Ohio judge believes the Ohio Republican Party "orchestrated" an attempt to have a libertarian candidate kicked off the ballot for the upcoming gubernatorial race, but the judge also says the candidate is still not allowed to run. Charles Earl, the Libertarian Party of Ohio's candidate, is appealing the decision, but faces significant hurdles if he wants to be on the ballot.

Yeah, I suppose. I'm just so tired of the corruption. This kind of skullduggery is why I often fiddle with the idea of just not voting for them for spite. I'd just feel...oh, I don't know ...dirty. You know?

Going to have to start paying more attention to these shenanigans during the election cycles throughout because giving these vultures an inch will have them strongarming the mile.

The whole thing is simply anti-American and disfranchises the people. Must be nice to be in the good ol boy club where the processes for representation that were established by our founders for the people is completely meaningless.

GOP never learns... This behavior widespread will cost the GOP. The idiots can't continue to alienate large voting block; i.e., blacks, latinos, libertarians, gays. Pretty soon all the republican party will have left are age 80 and above, John McCain's.

There's one area where the Republicans and Democrats can ALWAYS be counted on to stand united, and that is their fierce opposition to any third party candidates on the ballot.

It's a racket, folks.

The Democrats and Republicans are simply two flavors of the same poison. They're the two edges of the knife that cuts you. And as long as there is no one to challenge the so-called "two party system" both parties are going to be laughing up their crooked sleeves at the gullibility of the American public. These guys know that no matter who is holding office at the moment, the other side will ALWAYS be the next guys up to bat. That's the way they like it, and that's the way they're desperate to keep it.

I'm all about empowering the process to get away from party shenanigans and force politicians, candidates and incumbent officials to focus on constitutional principals to get our attention and vote.

This concept puts the people of states in control of the nation by creating a tool to control states using constitutional intent.

Federal court won’t rehear Libertarian Earl’s case

A federal judge ruled against the party, saying the law they challenged “places only a minimal burden on political speech and the disclosures it requires are substantially related to Ohio’s significant interest in deterring and detecting fraud in the candidate petition process.”

A three-judge panel of the 6th Circuit upheld that decision, determining that Libertarians’ slim chances of a successful First Amendment challenge to Husted’s decision should bar the party from proceeding. The trio acknowledged that their decision could present “severe and irreparable harm” on the party and likely undermine its status as a ballot-qualified party in the state.
