An amazing investigative report from The Intercept has brought "the receipts" proving the deep - and corrupt - relationship between the US Department of Homeland Security and social media companies such as Facebook and Twitter. Government agents actually had special access to directly request takedowns of any posts at odds with Biden Administration policy on a range of issues from Covid to Afghanistan to Ukraine. It isn't really "blockbuster" though. They are able to publicly do these things now, because the previous layers of propaganda have been so effective.

The average person simply believes the Russia threat is real, and the government-out of necessity-is taking countermeasures in the area of cyber-warfare.

To believe that the disinformation campaign is actually an "evil" thing America is doing, means you are supportive of the Russians complementary propaganda campaign.

It's sounds corny to the educated, but to the indoctrinated, this is a serious intellectual position.
