I believe that the Blimp should contain more than just "Ron Paul for President" how about adding something like "The Champion of the Constitution" or something that truly distinguishes him.

The blimp design has been selected and will be revealed soon. The blimp and the Ron Paul Air Force are to help raise awareness. There is no way it can address the full impact of having Ron Paul as President. With the blimp raising awareness it will be up to all Ron Paul supporters to take advantage of this and spread the Ron Paul message!

The blimp cannot answer or even address all the issues. It will need the help of every Ron Paul supporter to answer the question "Who is Ron Paul". Get ready... wear your Ron Paul shirts, put out your Ron Paul yard signs, have your slim jims in hand and be ready to spread the word.

The blimp is going to get lots of attention and raise questions... we need every Ron Paul supporter ready to answer those questions to win converts and get him elected.

also if the design is just that simple text that would be disappointing, look at some of the ones already done that use the whole blimp and look way pimping:

no idea if the gfx are design limited, technique limited, funds limited (company owner is comping the work/materials), time limited (to paint or create vinyls or whatever) or what, but it could use some sprucing - personally I like the Ameriquest design, and it would fit right around whatever the Ron Paul text is, heck maybe they still have the specs/design lying around

I've got a feeling that not having the word "president" may have something to do with a technicality regarding the structure of the operation funding this thing to get around donation limits. Am I right?

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the design. It's cool to see that you went with the idea of having the 2 sides of the blimp different.

I think it may also have to do with time constraints. Only 10 days till this thing needs to launch and they wouldn't have time to paint the whole blimp. Which is why I think they're going with banners? Right?

The don't have time to paint a whole blimp just going to but big stencils on it. But that is a good idea about the bottom of it.

Well, I must say, for a very hastily thought-up plan this is going incredibly well... it would've been nicer if we had more time so that we could paint the whole blimp and think of some more ideas, but I think this'll do. The Boston Tea Party concept combined with the blimp will hopefully get some attention from the MSM.

I like it how it is. Maybe some stencil on the bottom as well would be smart and not too time consuming. I think as long as his name is on it and its a blimp it will do its job.

Technically speaking what is a stencil? I know of painting, of hanging a banner type material likely shaped as a giant rectangle or something that has the text/designs painted or printed or attached to it or w/e, and for cars of either full body or cut letters/shapes of vinyls that stick to the car, and I know of stencils that are used as templates for drawing or painting either inside or outside of, etc - but what is a stencil for a blimp? like material and attachment etc

as far as the organization, as far as i get by reading between all the lines is this thing is going forward on 1st amendment civil disobedience grounds only, no pac, no funding limitations, no single candidate endorsement restrictions etc

well anyway idea is that one person can donate as much as they want right ... so hows about everyone who is donating instead buys something such as a physical trinket, maybe a wrist bracelet that says "What would Ron Paul's Blimp do?" or w/e or even a digital item, like a commemorative photo of the blimp with rights to print it for personal non-commercial use

anyway that would give them a lot of cash from their non-incorporated business activities, and as a singular private citizen, they would be free to spend as much as they wanted on it

OOH NEW BETTER IDEA (soo thread crapping but to lazy to post somewhere else)

you know that million pixel site, where everyone paid like a dollar to buy one pixel - well like the USA today sells partial ads, like say quarter page or maybe even 1/8th page, so that $85k ad could have been 8 separate ads by 8 separate donors, who's designs just happened to make a bigger design when arranged together... so just make the blimp a 'america's people's message blimp' and sell "pixels" on the design to the people of america - just you know ... screen them really carefully and make sure their message is ... supportive. lol

Yes, remember all of the lamenting about how we could have had 25,000 in Philadelphia if there was any sort of media promotion. Could the national campaign promote a rally in Boston with RP there on the 16th with a blitz of radio and TV ads in Boston and NH?

Americans Love Freedom!! That is the message and why Big Ron is getting all this support.

I wish Ron would stay on message when asked and he's asked a lot about what he attributes the outpouring of support. Sometimes he says Americans Love Freedom but many times he'll say it's the message or people are sick and tired. The first response should simply contain the words Americans Love Freedom. It'll bring alot more people into the movement.

Go Ron Go!! Love You!!
