Bernie Sanders Booed By House Democrats For Refusal To Endorse Hillary Clinton
Members want a timeline for when he will endorse Clinton. Sanders isn't ready to give them one.
07/06/2016

WASHINGTON ― Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) received a tough reception from House Democrats on Wednesday morning, with many encouraging him to endorse Hillary Clinton and some showering him with boos when he declined to do so.

Coming a day after the FBI announced that it would not bring charges against Clinton for her use of a private email account while at the State Department, Sanders’ meeting with the House Democratic caucus illustrated the fraying patience that a faction of the Democratic Party has for his still-going campaign. Several sources in the room confirmed the boos, with one member saying that lawmakers “were visibly annoyed that he was making this about him and not about winning an election for the American people.”
...
A Democratic staffer who was in the room said Sanders came in with a conciliatory tone but became defensive when he felt that members were attacking him.

Things grew even testier when the topic turned from policy to politics. At some point during the question-and-answer session, members began asking Sanders for a timeline for when he would endorse Clinton. Some began chanting the word “timeline.” Rep. Sanford Bishop (D-Ga.) was also pressing him on when he’d endorse.

Sanders repeatedly declined to offer a specific date, which resulted in some booing from the members.

House Democrats Booed Bernie Sanders on Wednesday
By Ian Prasad Philbrick

Bernie Sanders’ moribund campaign for the presidency has started to stink.

As reported by Politico, a closed-door meeting Sanders attended on Capitol Hill at the invitation of House Democrats on Wednesday morning quickly went sour after legislators, frustrated by the Vermont senator’s public hemming and hawing over endorsing Hillary Clinton, booed him to his face.
...
And many of the more vocal lawmakers at Wednesday’s meeting—among them Ohio Rep. Joyce Beatty and California representatives Mark Takano and John Garamendi, who reportedly exhorted Sanders to reveal when he plans to endorse Clinton—are avowed Clinton backers.

Wednesday’s meeting is further proof that the Sanders revolution, whether he recognizes it or not, is over. If any of his supporters were holding out for a Clinton indictment, Tuesday's announcement from FBI Director James Comey, who declined to recommend criminal charges be brought against Clinton for using an unsecured private email server as secretary of state, put an end to that.

Sen. Bernie Sanders is still talking like a guy who’s running for president. But frustrated House Democrats — who booed him at one point during a morning meeting — say it’s time to stop.

With the Democratic convention just weeks away, Sanders still hasn’t endorsed one-time rival Hillary Clinton and dodged questions about when he would during a tense meeting Wednesday morning with House Democrats.
...
House Democrats overwhelmingly supported Hillary Clinton during the presidential primary fight, so it was not surprising that Sanders got a cool reception from them.

But frustration with Sanders was also evident. Rank-and-file House Democrats want the Vermont independent to officially drop out of the race and throw his support behind the presumptive nominee, and they can’t understand why he hasn’t.

“It was frustrating because he’s squandering the movement he built with a self-obsession that was totally on display,” said a senior Democrat, speaking on the condition of anonymity.

After Sanders delivered his opening remarks — which touched on his favorite issues, including campaign finance, Wall Street reform and trade — lawmakers pressed him during a tense question-and-answer session on whether he would ultimately endorse Clinton and help foster party unity.
...
Sanders also weighed in at a news conference on the FBI’s decision not to recommend charges against Clinton for sending classified information over private servers as secretary of state.

“I think you’ve heard me say from Day One that there is a process in terms of the investigation regarding Secretary Clinton and the emails,” Sanders said. “Yesterday was an important part of that process. Now we wait to hear from the Justice Department.”

He's holding out to sell the idea that he wasn't in on it the whole time, if he jumped in and endorsed her before the convention there would be riots. He had vowed to fight to the convention mulitple times.

These heroes in the house do make great use of their time... they boo the fellow who does not jump to endorse a suspected war criminal and give standing ovation to cops who killed unarmed black mother.

They should put these two headlines next to each other on the Congressional web site.

Entire House Of Reps Gives Standing Ovation To Cops After Killing Unarmed Mother

Wolf Blitzer spent about 15 minutes today browbeating and attempting to shame Sanders into endorsing Hillary...

Some of those Sanders people are still fighting to reshape their party, they make us look like sheep that just layed over.

Seems they are trying to shape the platform, which is utterly useless once the election is over.

That might be the message his campaign is saying, but I am pretty sure that Snoop Dog is going to announce a G unity party after the DNC makes Sanders the VP nominee.
