Backpedaling Obama’s Economic Fiction
February 22, 2016—In his last State of the Union address on January 12, President Obama declared: “Anyone claiming that America’s economy is in decline is peddling fiction.”
True? I suppose it depends on what the meaning of the word “is” or “decline” is. But really, although the economy currently seems to be in the “boom” stage of another Federal Reserve-manipulated boom/bust business cycle (more on this later), I find it hard to believe that Obama himself actually believes his own words.
