From Neverquit at dailypaul.

I live in a very weathly Florida neighborhood, homes start here at $700,000 and up and one of my neighbors invited me to a fundraising event for a congresswoman. I accepted just to get a feel for what wealthy private citizens are looking for.

As she spoke I was just listening and some of what she said was good but I could see most of it was pandering and talk about the Democrats and Obama, I would roll my eyes when she spoke about the Constitution, etc... etc... I think you all get the point.

Then came the open question and answer session with the congresswoman. This is where it got interesting.

The room was silent for almost 30 seconds when she asked for a question, so I popped up and said what are your plans for our economy. I got the political answer as usual and after hearing it I couldn't help myself any longer. Thinking I was either going to be laughed at or thrown out.

I said ....

That is a great story! It's true assuming something before it even happens is not a good idea. One man can make a difference! This story is proof, Ron Paul is proof!

That was excellent. But I hope everyone notices that she spoke to the peoples' concerns, clearly and concisely. I'm afraid some would have tried to convince them that all the illegal immigration was just fine and dandy, amongst other things.

True. Ask people what issues are important to them, then discuss Ron 's positions on those issues. (not yours).

Yeah, great story. I wonder if any of those wealthy republicans are going to cut a check for Ron.

The message is rock solid. It is just hard to get people to really *listen*... He caught them off-guard.

brilliant. thanks for posting to RPF for those of us that don't visit dailypaul.

The majority of the GOP is not neocons. The neocons just shout the loudest.

I'm thinking of going to a meeting soon as well (Tea Party) with the same thing in mind! LOL

Awesome! Made my day. Always remember we have the knowledge to turn the tide. It can't be easy to tackle a crowd like that, but keep in mind that most of us know a whole lot more about political and economic matters than your average bear.

Great story, if I was him, I would've started an email list, update them on the campaign and alert them on future moneybombs...maybe even setup a fundraiser for Paul to speak at the Florida community in which they live.

Awesome story! Similar thing happened here when I talked on Ron Paul's behalf to a bunch of insiders (mostly Cain and Romney supporters).

We need to push his plan to restore America, people LOVE IT!

The best thing is that this was in Florida, a state that seems to be pretty weak for Ron Paul. I hope these folks talk their other rich friends and make some headway there.
