Ive always been a big fan of Art's and he's a personal friend of Ron Paul. Consider donating to his campaign today. The thank you letters I've received from his campaign are one of the few I've ever received that are usually hand-signed.

Art Robinson – Crazy or Just Patriotic?

Campaigning in a parade in Lebanon, Oregon recently, Art and the Oregon GOP candidate for governor, Dennis Richardson, were moving through the crowd, shaking hands and talking with the voters.

Art began with, “He’s Richardson, I’m Robinson, please – we need your vote.” The voters smiled and were polite.

Then Art changed to “He’s Richardson I’m Robinson, we have got to fix this government!” The voters were much more animated and smiled more broadly.

Then Art changed to “He’s Richardson, I’m Robinson, We’re both crazy. We actually think we can fix the government. But - Please - Give us a chance to try.” The voters loved it and responded very enthusiastically.

American voters are ready to laugh – and ready to cry – and ready to believe that our nation, our Constitutional Republic, can still be saved – even though the hour is late.

Of Art, his friend Scott Carpenter said, “In my experience with space flight, I have come to know many men of excellence. Art Robinson is the best can-do guy I know. He’s what we need in Washington, and I think Oregon voters should elect Art Robinson. He’s a treasure.”

Can Art really fix the government? Not alone, he can’t. But, if voters all across America elect enough such men and women, they will prevail.

Please – give Art this chance to help. Please send a contribution to his campaign.

Art is the best, along with his homeschooling curriculum. True old school, he may be even more old fashioned than me.

"The Working Class versus The Political Class"- that's how Art Robinson framed the choice before the electorate in a close race for Congress. Art Robinson sided with the working class, addressing Oregon's working families and their call for better-paying jobs and turning around Oregon's failing schools. When Art Robinson challenged 14-term incumbent Peter DeFazio to whether he took any responsibility for Oregon's failing schools, DeFazio declined to answer and angrily attacked his opponent. DeFazio was left breathless and licking his wounds before the second debate scheduled to be held in Coos County. He didn't see Art Robinson coming, he better be ready for another tough debate on Monday the 20th.

Listen to the debate here: http://cpa.ds.npr.org/klcc/audio/2014/10/4th_District_debate.mp3

Robinson spokesman, Andre Provoncha, was pleased with a job well done: "While Peter DeFazio spent his time angrily attacking Dr. Robinson, Dr. Robinson focused on practical ideas that would actually address the issues facing Oregonians. When asked if DeFazio took any responsibility for Oregon's failing schools, he declined to hold his hand up and instead continued attacking Art Robinson. It's clear this race now balances on a knife-edge. Middle-class Oregonians don't want angry attacks, they want politicians to acknowledge the mess that they've left them in, hold up their hands, and propose real solutions. They didn't hear that tonight from Mr DeFazio."

In this debate, Dr. Robinson showed that he is a scientist with decades of expertise in many areas - including education, energy policy and medical research - while Peter DeFazio simply showed that he has spent 27 years as a career politician who angrily mocked his opponent rather than answering the questions. This debate highlighted that Peter DeFazio has spent so much time in Washington that he has lost touch with the values of working Oregonians.

In one humorous moment, Art Robinson offered Peter DeFazio a deal - that if Mr. DeFazio would stop telling lies about Dr. Robinson, Dr. Robinson would stop telling the truth about Mr. DeFazio's record and they could simply get down to debating the issues Oregonians care about. Mr DeFazio declined to take up the offer.

Voters in the 4th Congressional District have had their choice made clear by this debate: they can elect a thoughtful, respectful candidate who is not beholden to special interests nor bows to the pressures of lobbyists, or, instead, an angry candidate who has made a 27-year career out of satisfying those special interests.

The debate ended with Art Robinson warmly shaking his Green Party opponent's hand while Mr DeFazio stormed off stage. There is all to play for in a cycle where voters are increasingly turning against career politicians, especially ones like Peter DeFazio who have been in power for over a quarter of a century.
