A U.S. Army spokesman says officials have narrowed to five the number of cities under consideration to house a prestigious command center that's meant to modernize Army operations and technology. Col. Patrick Seiber tells the Austin American-Statesman that Austin, Texas, is a finalist for the Futures Command headquarters along with Boston, Minneapolis, Philadelphia and Raleigh, North Carolina.

What a horrible list for soldiers , shithole taxarama Philly , highest cost of living city in texas , boston masshole , minneapolis and raleigh . They must hate the troops . LA , Seattle , Atlanta and chicago have been eliminated ( rightfully so ) . Dallas did not make the cut and as bad as it is probably best on the list .

So which state do Republicans need to win the most voters in? Based on that, Minneapolis may have the lead though the weather sucks. If you want to go where there is the least opposition, probably Raleigh. Boston and Philly already crowded but Boston closer to DC.

Well there are already posts close to DC , Aberdeen Maryland has plenty of room for HQ , but yes of that list Minneapolis and Raleigh would be lower costs of living for the people who will work there which in turn will save taxpayers money because they will base housing allowance money on high rents .......
