Arguments for or against voting? I wonder if Ron Paul would argue against voting?

Not voting is a vote. It is a vote to let everyone who does vote to chose for you.

"Just because you do not take an interest in politics doesn't mean politics won't take an interest in you." - Pericles, 430 B.C.

Being uninformed about what government is doing... not knowing who to vote for... and not understanding the proper role of government is how we got here. Finally, the truth telling ability of the Internet and the technology of the 21st century is rapidly changing that just like the Gutenberg Press changed the world. We're not there yet but we are getting there.

Campaign for Liberty is sending surveys to find out where each candidate stands on the issues. If they do not fill the survey out and return it, then it is easy to know to not vote for them. If you disagree with their answers, then don't vote for them.
Where Do Your Candidates Stand?

Vote fraud can be eliminated as well.

See, I don't agree with that. I think educating is much more important than voting in the kind of world we're living in right now. Your single vote won't change anything, but if you start some brushfires in the mind of men, those brushfires are guaranteed to spread. Look at Ron Paul. There were times when it seemed like he was shouting against a brick wall. But then he inspired people, and those people inspired other people.

We're not where we need to be just yet, but we're getting there. Today I will not be voting. We'll see what 2014 and 2016 will bring.

I wish I had seen that site earlier. That's actually extremely helpful.

Isn't it though. It helped me a lot. By the next election cycle perhaps it will have gone viral and all the good candidates will respond. None of your federal candidates are worth voting for, imo. None of them returned the survey.

Why voting is useless:

Why voting is bad:

That said... as far as Ron goes, I don't think he'd necessarily argue against voting per se. I think he'd encourage people to use the voting booth to promote liberty, but I also think he'd consider a non-vote equally valid. For instance a non-vote can be a "vote" for no confidence or even no consent.

I think he'd consider them all equally valid.

Others tell me that these soldiers fight for our freedom to vote and it's disrespect to our country and them.

There is no freedom to vote. We as a "freedom loving people" (LOL) should be held accountable for our complicity in sacrificing the lives of our children in corporatist wars.
