Are atheism and natural rights compatible?

Well, I don't think the atheist would agree with that statement. They will come up with a very elaborate system using known science at the time (knowing how limited that science is) to explain why people need love and wish for eternal happiness.

Where were the rights that god gave black people in America 150+ years ago. Where were the rights god gave jewish people in germany 60 years ago.

God does not give me rights, nor does god secure my rights.

My rights are what I decide them to be, and the security of my rights will only be protected by my use of them.
