I was at work and the RNC was on the tube. i wasn't
paying too much attention to it but would glimpse
at the screen every so often to see who was speaking.

at one point i noticed that romney was speaking.
then later i noticed it was huckabee who came after
romney was done, with his nice purple tie. a bit
later i noticed giuliani was after the huckster.

... it was at that point when i thought "how sad".
everyone was invited to speak at the RNC except
Ron Paul. kinda reminds me of this "sad little pic" :(

Absolutely, esspecially considering that Ron Paul outlasted ALL of them! Including Hillary!
This is why the GOP beat us not because we were splintered or divided.

yeah, a little sad, however, I reflect and gotta give RP a lot of credit for his views and courage. As a democratic voter all my adult life, his opinions on monetary policy and constitutional rights have changed the way I live everyday. I always thought it was something wrong with what was wrong, but now I know! thanks Ron

after all this not really none of them deserve to share a stage/event with him besides ouyr was better woooooooooooo

what i did find sad was the way the roll call votin went

Yeah - I had a few of those same moments last night when I got back from the Rally and turned on the tube to watch the GOP convention. As much as I wanted to have a presence (and we did to some extent) at their convention, maybe Ron did more by not being there. It certainly has energized the RP movement in the past when he is ignored or marginalized. And so the fight goes on.

angry is a better word.

Obama even allowed Dennis to speak. have to give him credit for that at least.

its time for Ron Paul to leave the Republicans

Paul said he could have spoken if he would have endorsed McCain.

Like THAT was gonna happen.

They were the famous senators, the big shot governors, "America's mayors" and the celebrities. Ron Paul was a nobody congressman from Texas. :o

kinda wondered if i should peel off my "RON PAUL * President 2008"
decal off of my rear-view window. But i think I'll keep it 'til after Nov.
Then maybe only remove the "President 2008" part and leave the
"Ron Paul" intact.

I had a flat tire the other day - and 2 Ron Paul supporters stopped to help because of my sticker. One of them has invited me to a meetup and happy new networks will ensue. It's like a badge of honor! Birds of a feather...

Can you really be mad about him not attending? Bear in mind that most of the people we're up against have no crucial ties to the Republican party; they're merely powerful scoundrels who've thrown the original crew aside and intimidated them into submission. They see nothing wrong with showing total irreverence to a crucial adherent of unwavering principal. And when even the Goldwater family decides to play the party-loyalty game, there's just no reason to anticipate respect being given where it's due.

And look at it from the opposite side. If I were holding a libertarian/paleocon/independent rally, and someone told me I should let Mitt Romney or Joe Lieberman speak, I'd gleefully tell them to get fucked.

Furthermore, the day I see Ron Paul standing among those men, smiling, shaking hands, and being cheered by their most fervent supporters is the day I stop supporting Ron Paul.
