Anyone catch the series finale of "The Shield"?

Everyone lost. Vic's paying the price you pay for 6+ years of criminal acts. I'm in Federal law enforcement and if there's one factor that would stop me from becoming dirty, it's my experience watching The Shield. Never me, ever.

Come on. Vic was able to confess all his sins and walk away completely free of jail or death -- the fate that everybody else involved in his scandels met. He ended up with a well paying desk job. Yes he lost his children -- he had already lost his wife seasons ago-- but all he has to do is some "time" doing a desk job. I would argue also that finding his kids in the future won't be hard. Two of them are autistic, definitely wouldn't be had for him to track them down.

Did you catch his face at the very end? It was a look of defiance not loss or sadness, it was anger.

I say he won.

All good points. Consider how many people Vic murdered and all the careers he derailed and the lives he destroyed, he seems to be content with his behavior. Even with what he did to Ronnie and his willingness to murder pregnant Mara he shows little remorse, and everything good he did turned to shit on him. You very well might be right. He didn't get what was coming to him.
