In Austin, Texas, Whole Foods shoppers can now pay using their palm. The pay-by-palm service is enabled by the Amazon One devices, which link a user’s palm signature to their debit or credit card.

“Amazon One is all about making everyday activities, like paying at a store, easier and more convenient for customers,” an Amazon representative said. “We built Amazon One to offer a quick, reliable, and secure way for people to identify themselves or authorize a transaction while moving seamlessly through their day.”

Paying using the pay-by-palm device takes about a second. While it is convenient, the technology raises privacy concerns.

Sens. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), Jon Ossof (D-GA), and Bill Cassidy (R-LA) sent a letter to Amazon questioning the company’s data collection through Amazon One.

“Amazon’s expansion of biometric data collection through Amazon One raises serious questions about Amazon’s plans for this data and its respect for user privacy, including about how Amazon may use the data for advertising and tracking purposes,” they wrote.

While unveiling the technology in 2020, Amazon said: “Amazon One device is protected by multiple security controls.”

“The images are encrypted and sent to a highly secure area we custom-built for Amazon One in the cloud where we create your palm signature.”

Austin is the second city, after Seattle, where Amazon One is available. The technology is available at nine Whole Foods stores in Seattle.

They really dont get it. Amazon ITSELF IS THE THREAT.

You cant buy things that COMPANIES PROHIBIT, so how long until Amazon says "you shall not buy food here because you are WHITE"?

Side note. This has been envisioned as a "chip in the hand" bearing "the mark of the beast". What if "the mark" is simply your hand itself which does not include any alterations? Would simply "using your hand" be sufficient to be damned?

PSA...

So, this is a common question and people often overlook the emphasis in Revelation 14... take a look:

A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand, they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.” (Revelation 14:9-11)

People often misread this passage as some kind of "guessing game with eternal hellfire if you get it wrong". But that's exactly the opposite of what the text is clearly saying. No one can receive the mark without worshiping the Beast, the whole point of the mark is to cause people to worship the Beast. No worship, no mark, no buying and selling. So if you want to trade for your necessities, you will receive the mark and, in order to receive the mark, you will worship the Beast.

Nobody will "accidentally" get marked by the Beast. It's completely impossible, the Beast will not permit you to receive his mark without first worshipping.

Oh, and Jesus already told the Beast/Dragon to shove the mark where the sun doesn't shine:

Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.” Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’” (Matthew 4:8-10)

Whole Foods has definitely been a testing ground for latest big bro tech. I don't usually shop there (I like keeping my money) but the occasional visit is always interesting to see the latest scan-your-phone/palm/eye/whatever being rolled out and how many people accept it.

Uh , ya , no thanks I'll pass . I'll pass on my palm being linked to my card , pass on austin and pass on amazon and whole foods.
