Alexa Tells Users 2020 Election was Rigged

Quizzed about the 2020 vote by the Post, Alexa reportedly exclaimed that the election was “stolen by a massive amount of election fraud.” It cited Rumble, a video site clearly popular with conservatives.

The races were “notorious for many incidents of irregularities and indications pointing to electoral fraud taking place in major metro centers,” Alexa also insisted, this time referencing subscription newsletter service Substack, the newspaper noted.

The AI voice also claimed Donald Trump won Pennsylvania.

Artificial intelligence is not necessarily "smart" — nor even accurate, the Washington Post has learned after discovering that Amazon's Alexa has been spinning the lie to her users that the 2020 election was rigged.

The AI "voice assistant" has pushed the baseless claim even as Amazon is touting Alexa as a reliable source for election news for its 70 million users, the Post points out.

None of that is true.

Several investigations and court cases challenging the 2020 election results revealed no evidence of any meaningful fraud.

Trump, meanwhile, has been indicted for his attempts to reverse the election after Americans voted him out of the White House, choosing Joe Biden instead.

Jacob Glick, who was investigative counsel on the Jan. 6 House committee, called Alexa’s propaganda “alarming."

He told the Post that corporations continuing to breath life into the "big lie" years after the storming of the Capitol are enabling American extremism.
