Actress Confronts Sean Penn Over His Support for Chavez: ‘You Are a Communist A**Hole!’

Cuban-born, Venezuelan-raised actress Maria Conchita Alonso and actor Sean Penn had a contentious exchange at Los Angeles International airport recently, in which Alonso called Penn a “communist a**hole“ and Penn called Alonso a ”pig.”

Over a year and a half after Alonso penned an open letter to Penn asking him why he supports socialist Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, the two met up serendipitously (or not so) at LAX while both were waiting to claim lost luggage.​

Sean Penn is the son of one Leo Penn. Leo Penn was a Hollywood actor and communist during the CPUSA’s heyday in the film colony. Leo refused to name names to the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) and was blacklisted with many other Hollywood communists. However, Penn was also an ardent Stalinist, denounced Franklin Roosevelt as a war monger, advocated for American neutrality toward Europe, and supported the Nazi-Soviet Pact of 1939—which eviscerated Poland and set the stage for the Katyn Forest Massacre. It should be noted as well that Josef Stalin is responsible for the murder of over 20 million people, whether it be from the Ukrainian Terror Famine, the Gulag, or the Great Terror.

Of course, when Hitler abrogated the treaty by invading the Soviet Union in June 1941 Penn, the Hollywood Reds and the rest of the CPUSA became full-throated supporters of FDR and American intervention into World War II.

The quick 180 degree turn by the CPUSA was due to the fact that Penn and his party comrades took their marching orders directly from Moscow and the Communist International (COMINTERN), which Josef Stalin personally controlled.​

Could be, but it is the stances on the most vital decisions of a nation's foreign policy that matter most, a broken clock that is right on those life changing times is better than a working clock that screws up royally then. I don't know much about Chavez, as a private citizen his support for him is Penn's business as long as it does not cause any morality or blowback concerns for us.

Contrary to what the Western media says, Venezuela is more of a direct democracy with small communities running most parts of day to day lives called communal councils.

Chavez kicked out a CIA installed government that was whoring out Venezuelans to western corporations in a country where everyone lived in extreme poverty. He has greatly reduced poverty and kicked out the imperialist companies. The CIA even lead a coup against him in 2002 that nearly succeeded, but they failed in the end.
