I feel this has to be done so we best use our limited funds to impact as many races as we can. I used the NYTimes Electoral Map in order to judge the races and pick out those which are still competitive. If you'd like to suggest a ratings change or a new candidate to be added, then please explain why and I can do so.

Competitive US Congressional Candidates (Thanks to Matt0611 and Smart3 for their work on editing the original list!)

Winning:
Jeff Flake (R) AZ Senate - (purity: ★★★☆☆)
Richard Mourdock (R) IN Senate- (purity: ★★★☆☆)
Justin Amash (R-incumbent) MI-3 - (purity: ★★★★★)
Kerry Bentivolio (R) MI-11 - (purity: ★★★★★)

Losing:
Connie Mack (R) FL Senate - (purity: ★★★☆☆)
Joe Walsh (R-incumbent) IL-8 - (purity: ★★☆☆☆)
Roscoe Bartlett (R-incumbent) MD-6 - (purity: ★★☆☆☆)
Kurt Haskell (D) MI-7 - (purity: ★★★★☆)
John Koster (R) WA-1 (purity: ★★★★☆)

Tossup:
Denny Rehberg (R) MT - (purity: ★★★☆☆) (Tossup)

Green Purity indicates endorsement by Ron Paul.

Looking at Haskell's website, he seems like a redistributionist. What makes him a liberty candidate?

He's extremely good on everything else, and you can judge where he truly stands based on his post history at Daily Paul: http://www.dailypaul.com/user/31426/comments

At the worst he's like Kucinich. If you wouldn't like another Kucinich type in there, then don't support him, but he could be extremely good on many issues and have the balls to speak up against wars and the police state.

Certainly better than most, but no redistributionist should be any more than 2-star in my opinion.

From Joe Walsh's website:

"We must stand firmly by our ally Israel, because a strong and secure democracy in the Middle East is absolutely vital to American security. It occupies a critical position in the Middle East, and now, with mass protests throwing the entire region into turmoil, its security is more important than ever. Only our unconditional support of Israel will lead to peace in the region.

Some of my accomplishments in defending Israel include:
Introduced H.Res. 394, which supports Israel’s right to annex Judea and Samaria in the event that the Palestinian Authority continues to press for unilateral recognition of statehood at the United Nations.
Voted for H.R. 4310, the FY2013 National Defense Authorization Act, which continues America’s commitment to maintaining Israel’s qualitative military edge in the Middle East, including $680 million for the Israel’s Iron Dome project through 2015".

Why are we supposed to be supporting this guy again.

OK.. gotcha
going against Miller in a large military population area is challenging

Because Congressman Ron Paul has endorsed him. Read the endorsement here: http://www.libertypac.com/ron-paul-endorsements/joe-walsh/

In fact, Congressman Paul did not just endorse him by words, but matched his words by an action: donating $500,000 to Rep. Walsh. (http://www.opensecrets.org/pacs/pacgot.php?cycle=2012&cmte=C00234641)

This just goes to show the congressman isn't a purist. He knows purism does not work! :)

That's why we are suppose to support Congressman Walsh.

No mention of Thomas Massie? Five stars, Paul endorsed, and a likely winner.

Also Ted Cruz for Senate in Texas. Paul and endorsed and a likely winner. Don't know how many stars. I'd guess about three.

Art Robinson should qualify. I think this will be close. He got 44% last time.

I thought people thought it was competitive from what I've heard year.

Is the Massie race close? I've heard repeatedly on here than the Texas Senate race isn't close. If that is true, Cruz cannot be included on the list.

Both of them are almost guaranteed winners. There's no point of throwing our hard earned money to people who will win even without it.

The general consensus is that Robinson is not close. 44% is still quite weak, and that was during a year with very low Dem turnout. Now with the Presidential race, we can expect to see Robinson do slightly worse. If he were to win, it would be a monumental upset. I don't discourage people from supporting him, but this late in the game not much can happen that will change things drastically.
