ABCNews suggests Paul is buying votors in Iowa.

Question: Is this the program to bring college students in from elsewhere to canvass, or is this as described, a separate program, putting Iowa students up in lodging?

Haha, they also spelled 'cheap' wrong.

Please, let this thread die...

"ABCNews suggests Paul is buying votors in Iowa."

BS

He is not buying voters, and every campaign has the right to hire help.
```````````
If you actually support RP, please make fair and accurate thread titles. :eek:
do you know what forum we are in? the forum is called Bad Media Reporting on Ron Paul. the name of the thread describes what the ABC article is trying to accomplish. i believe that i followed all of the thread rules, and yes i do actually support Ron Paul. so far he has my money, and soon he will have my vote.
LOL @ a "$40 per day perdiem"..
Actually, I thought that was a rather high food stipend. Edit: Oh I see, redundant. Yeah.
What's with the alarmism? They simply reported on the program. They didn't say he was "buying votes". That is some interpretation you tried to mentally insert. Willing it doesn't make it so.
you are correct that the title of the article doesn't say "paul is buying votors" but if you think critically and interpret what you read....
"Because the students are all volunteers and pay for their own travel, it is relatively cheep. About $70,000," Benton said.
Keeping the students in town is only one aspect of the Paul game plan in these waning weeks of the Iowa primary campaign. Just paying for the room and board and giving them a meal stipend.
Students who go to school in Iowa, but are not from there are allowed to caucus under Iowa law.
what else could this suggest...
If you read the comments, it looks like they are giving people that impression.
You also can't even say "Ron Paul" in the comments section. So, I'd say they're definitely biased whether they really understood the program or not.
Well, if Ron Paul is paying students $40 a day to stay in Iowa and giving them free housing, he essentially is paying for votes.
Obviously when they interviewed Kyle Benton he was talking about supporters brought in from other states to campaign.
Why would Iowa students have to "pay their own travel" to stay put? It contradicts the point of the article.
Travel around the area, of course. Which is why I'm interested in a clarification. And his name is Jesse.
