For everything that Ron Paul suggests we can dismantle, do without, end or reverse, these need to be approached from the perspective of a proactive solution. After looking at the list of Bills Ron Paul has introduced in just 2007, we obviously are supporting a very creative legislator who operates far above the heads of many of his colleagues.

However, I think the campaign drew energy from the libertarian, anti-authoritarian, anti-status quo base in America instantly, but has not evolved its message to move beyond this initial appeal. Everyone of one of these mindsets is on board and are probably lifers.

Now we need to appeal to regular Joe (and especially Jane) voters. We need to translate our response to their concerns into answers filtered through the approach Ron Paul has toward difficult issues. To promote canvassing materials that key in on his introduced legislation as examples of how he'll govern would be extremely positive and would make him seem less libertarian to most voters and appeal to their desire for concrete answers.

Wonderful points. Americans today are a cynical lot.....with good reason. Pointing out RP's accomplishments both from the perspective of his voting record AND from the legislation that he introduces provides the factual proof that he's not just providing lip service to his convictions. Perhaps a comparison/contrast chart showing where how other candidates waffle on their positions. This would not be dirty politics..... just informative.
