A push for 3rd party in 2016

Hope its alright I uploaded this on the Vote 3rd party twitter page. I couldn't get it to display the image without clicking the tweet when linking to it.

If anyone has any articles/videos/images in promotion of voting 3rd party or for your 3rd party candidate tweet it to me and I'll retweet it. 0 followers so I won't get you many views probably. But who knows what'll happen.

Agreed. I was all for the plan, but third party seems the thing worth pushing now.

The next president's going to be a monster, and there's absolutely nothing we can do about it at this point.

What we can do is try to position ourselves better for future contests, and an historic performance by the LP would help do that.

The political environment's never been better for a 3rd party.

Let's do it.

I would rather have the Libertarian Party take 15% of the vote and let Clinton win...because then we would be THE story in 2020

Exactly

How about a massive campaign for abstaining from the election instead of voting 3rd party?

Abstentions don't appear on the evening news.

Yes they do, in stories about low voter turnout. In fact, these make the news more than stories about third-party candidates do.

True, but that doesn't specifically benefit us (it benefits all "anti-establishment" groups), as would a record LP turnout.

I don't know how much truth there is to this; but I feel like conservatives who we can push to vote 3rd party (principles over winning) we can more easily court as a voter in the future, and democrats who we can push to vote principles over winning are less likely to vote for the nominee that our potential candidate would be facing in a general election scenario. Getting easier ballot access for the libertarian party for future years could be beneficial to our cause. There is a thread on not voting in the philosophy forum if you guys want to discuss that.
