On Wednesday, thousands in California gathered to see Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul speak. The 12-term congressman from Texas had announced a few days prior that his campaign team would be returning to California for private fundraisers, media interviews, and town hall events. Dr. Paul's previous campaign events in California included a record-breaking event in which over 8,500 supporters gathered to see the presidential candidate speak.

"2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul continued his pattern of attracting thousands of attendees to his town hall meetings, this time drawing 4,000-plus voters to his California State University at Fullerton campus event.

Tonight’s CSUF town hall meeting took place at 7:00 p.m. PST at the school’s Titan Stadium, located on W. Campus Drive, Fullerton, CA 92831. Dr. Paul spoke to the CSUF and general community about the need for constitutionally-limited government, the bonds that tie economic and civil liberties, and elements of his ‘Plan to Restore America,’ an economic blueprint that cuts Washington spending, reduces the national debt, and curtails the rapid growth of the federal government."

Now if only all these college kids would actually get their asses out to the polls, we'd win in a landslide...

well, people try to register them as they stand in line, and registration hasn't closed yet....

THAT's the one I wanted to see!

The risers hold 5000 on each side so that is confirmation of the 4000+

Nice! Filled up those stands! Did they turn anyone away? People standing outside?

Nice Article Angel....in your update.....you should mention that the Administration did not even approve and sign the contract that allowed Ron Paul to speak on Campus until Monday, April 30th.

The Youth For Ron Paul CSU-Fullerton Chapter had just 48 hours to put this event on. A TRULY AMAZING Success that should be recognized!!!

Just got home--it was a really great event.

People were wrapped around several blocks when we arrived, but they got everyone in pretty orderly and people kept arriving and filling up seats for about the first 10 minutes. I don't think anyone would have been turned away.

Congratulations to those that were involved in the organizing (if any are around here). I was really impressed with the organization in such a quick time. And was SO happy to see MANY registering to vote or switch parties while waiting in line.

guess i will have to ask again - Where in the world is the media ?

I really hope Ron Paul will come to San Francisco and the Bay Area and team up with former SF Board of Supervisors Tony Hall and Matt Gonzalez (They supported Paul) and the congressional candidate against Pelosi John Dennis (Hall and Gonzalez supported him too)

There were some on the far end of the field but since the field was lower than the lot, no need to climb trees

Too bad I have to work Friday night when Ron will be here in San Diego....ughhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

I'll let the gang know their work was noticed! They'll appreciate it...THANKS!

why cant we hand out absentee ballots to all these people who show up at ron paul events? then collect them and mail them in ????? then we wouldnt have to worry about them getting out to vote.... if we handed out absentee ballots to everyone at all ron paul speeches, and mail them ourselves we would win by a landslide!!! why are we not doing this?

That isn't how absentee ballots work. The most you can hand out is the form to sign up to get an absentee ballot, which would then be mailed to the house. The person would be responsible to then fill it out and mail it back themselves. This is (rightly) to prevent voter fraud -- which we would most certainly be accused of if we employed the strategy you are suggesting.
