    Diebold machines in use

These machines are at least 4 years old. I used them to vote in 04 (albiet in Knox, not Blount). And I found them cconfusing back then. I wanted to vote for Badnarick (the guy who was running Libertarian), but he wasn't listed. I had NO idea how to do a write-in (I don't seem to recall there...

    Diebold machines in use

Yeah, I don't much trust those machines. Heck, when it clicked when "scrolling" it only moved the selection every 3 to 6 clicks. And those machines are very user UNfriendly in general anyway. I'm shocked that with so many technologically illiterate people around here that so many people are even...

Does anyone fear that the internet...

Will they try to "ruin" the internet for us? Yes. Will it be specifically in retaliation to Ron Paul? Unlikely. They've been trying for a while to bring the internet to heel, with some successes and some failures. This is why Paul is so strongly against internet regulation, even when it is...

    Why Not Rand Paul?

My thought has been that if we don't get the nod this year, most likely a Dem will be elected. That will probably make it even easier the following election to spread our message. A younger fresh candidate like Rand could do well, especially backed by Ron's support. I seriously doubt a third...

What will it take to win?

This is still something I don't quite understand. Some states are winner takes all, some seem to be percentage based (maybe?) and some are purely based off what delegates got votes or somesuch? Very confusing.

What will it take to win?

I'm basing that assumption off of our performance so far in states that have already been called for a candidate. Just pure hypothetical. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a few good seconds (theres a couple believably within reach IMO), but I'm doubting we'll pull any firsts tonight.

What will it take to win?

To step back from things for a moment, assuming Paul gets no better than third in any given area that hasn't been decided yet, how many states after today will we have to get 1st in in order to WIN?

Don't people know that Thompson pulled out?

You know what kills me is is one of the TOP issues people I've talked with have had with Ron Paul is that he's "not electable", and yet here are a whole slew of people voting for Thompson, the one who REALLY isn't electable! :(

    Report from Blount County

I unfortunately got to the polls late in the day (dang work) at around 5 or so. Stayed until just a little after 7. I'm in one of the supposedly most active precints in Blount (Alcoa). Didn't see too many people come in while I was there. Maybe a few dozen. Most people shrugged off my advances...

WHAT the h8LL IS GOING ON IN TENNESSEE???

I knew a lot of us Tennesseans would still vote Thompson, but I didn't think THAT many would. :( On the bright side, I met someone at the polls today who had researched the candidates last night and decided that Paul was the "ONLY CHOICE"! :)

    Diebold machines in use

Out in East TN (Blount county) they have some sort of machine that has this scroll wheel thing that you use to select your choices. I'm guessing they've been around for a few thousand years.

    Jack Kemp Thread

My friends, they support me - Jack Kemp, and Phil Graham, and Joe Nobodycares - because I was a POW. And a military leader. And that's what this country needs, is leading. And someone has to do it. Jack Kemp and Joe Blow and Jack Kemp, they know this and that's why they, my friends, support me...

    Huckabee endorsement of Paul?

At around the point where the moderator was shafting Huck and Paul and they gave each other a frustrated look, I turned to my wife and asked, "What if Huckabee dropped out and endorsed Paul?" It doesn't make sense for him to support the other two guys, they're too different from what he's...
