I think they got the cart issues squared away. If you are still seeing issues, I suggest posting them to this thread. It is also now required to specify a size for shirts, it no longer defaults to small. :)

No server load issues if you watch it in a non IE browser and don't refresh. It will update every 20 seconds. IE users will have to refresh...

Donate button fixed, no need to refresh endlessly to see updated totals. The flash requests an updated total every 20 seconds. T-minus 9

Well they don't know where ALL the money came from. All they know is the source of the ITEMIZED donations (aggregate > 200). Of course there is nary a mention of that.
