America Ain't a Bad Place to be "Poor"--Walter Williams

I wouldn't count those as poor. Just because the DHHS thinks that is a good dollar amount, it isn't in my book. I wonder what would the values be if it were homeless being used.

HOA forecloses home because of missed HOA dues: Do we support the individual or HOAs?

I'm biased so I say that the HOA is bad. I never liked them. They are like chambers of commerce, unelected but powerful. At least it wasn't a gated community; those are evil As evil as DeBeers, who kills people, in my opinion.

    class for voting

Normally for a driving test you need to takes tests and pass them to get a liceince(sp). I am thinking of a "test" to get to vote. Basically you go to a class and when you finish you get voting ability. There is no test or anything so it would seem to be less partisen(sp). All you have to do is...

Reason's Steve Chapman on keeping Birthright Citizenship

If birthright, i.e. 14th amend., is removed then how is citizenship determined?

26% Say Smoking Cigarettes Should Be Outlawed

I agree, cigs should be outlawed. Just as long as all the other drugs and chemicals are legal. :D P.s. telephone surveys don't mean anything.

Let's see where George W. Bush is on the Nolan Chart

For presidents: Washington, John Adams[I], Jefferson Jackson, Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt[I] Wilson, Franklin Roosevelt[II], Lyndon Johnson[II] Reagan That is alot but they seem more important than the other interregnum presidents.

Supreme Court Gun Ban Ruling: Good/Bad? Constitutional or not?

Unlike the 1st Amend. the 2nd doesn't say "Congress." Therefore it applies to states as well. I don't know if the 14th needs to be used in this case. I also agree with the result.

    Open Carry of Rifles?

I'm from ROC too! I hope it works out. I want better, assuming they're not good already, laws. I would say to go to a edge town as well. The city laws probably aren't as good. NYC politics don't overwealm(sp) the rest of the state quite like illin(please don't prounce the 's')ois but still...

Chuck Baldwin: America's Bread And Circus Society

I agree. The problem is that if you make/remove laws to get rid of the b&c then the people won't just work but they might actually riot.

    XXX approved!!!

The problem with an XXX TLD is that it might somehow become manditory to use it if the gov't thinks your site is porn-related. That means the the gov't, err religious-conservative groups, can decide who is "wholesome" and who isn't.

    Question about piracy as theft

"Copyright," or as I like to call it, "CP:copyprivledge," assumes that IP, or as I like to call it, "ISCP: intellectual so-called property," isn't real property. As it can be copied indefinitely then in my mind it'sn't. There might be services involved; it takes energy for them to allow you to...

Support Small Business! Create Jobs! Waste Resources?

Then get rid of all the small business and only allow big ones! Pay companies to merge! The increase in tax will more than make up for the payment. :D I am for smaller companies regardless of that. It allows for more voting with you wallet.
