Where's the line on the GOP picking up the tab on this stuff? I understand wanting to save money if accomadations were out of pocket, but it would make an even bigger impression and responsible message if they were trying to save taxpaywer money. Really, either-or is admirable.

Yeah, I kinda thought this, too. What if Ron doesn't agree with this approach, and it somehow succeeds. How does he accept the nomination in good faith then?

I would love to see Ron Paul be the nominee, and I'm not typically pessimistic, but the very-near time will tell whether or not this legel end-around has any chance of succeeding. If it did, I would think the MSM would be all over it in the days to come. But like I said, we'll see very soon.

Rand always said his first choice would be his dad. So, yeah, if Ron got the nomination, he'd switch to endorsing Paul Sr.

It's unfortunate that it came to this point, but I think Rand is doing what is practical. He's shifting some of his support in the direction where his and his fathers beliefs can have the most and best chance for impact.

This measure, counter-measure shit is rediculous. Why doesn't Romney and the RNC simply and blantantly create a shadow state party in every state, therefore negating any Ron Paul delegates past, present and future, and be done with it? Sure seems like they can do anything they want anyways...

Just wait. Once the shock of this annoucement eases off, I think most or close to all of us are gonna realize something. Ron Paul is gonna be plastered all over the media in the next few days. Convention supporters for Romney will be down...unfair procedures during voting won't be as numerous...

I understand your passion, but this kinda smacks of a lack of sportmanship. This is not how one properly accepts victory.
