First of all, if you just look at the California 11th Congressional District, you'll want to fix our broken redistricting process. The district starts around Danville, heads down 680 to Pleasanton, then jumps away from the highway but heads down to Morgan Hill and eastern Santa Clara county...

"Votes not counted" is only half right. According to the Secretary of State, there are at least 350,000 ballots that have not been counted yet. These are vote-by-mail (absentee) ballots dropped off at polling places, provisional ballots, and damaged ballots. The Secretary of State has a PDF...

Ron Paul has a message, and I expect him to stay in the race until the end so he can keep spreading it. He won't make a "last stand" and then drop out.

A lot of Californians vote absentee, and some campaigns were pushing their supporters to vote early. It's sad when the voters are more dedicated than the candidate himself is.

The old punch cards were better. You could hold them up to the sample ballot and verify you punched the right holes. Too bad that some idiotic Floridian voters couldn't figure out how to vote correctly, and the politicians decided to spend millions on new electronic gadgets that fuel...

California is just a simple primary. Show up at the polling place, vote for Ron Paul, and there's no more to it. You can make small talk with the volunteers running the polls if you want, though!

Major restaurant chains (at least in the Sacramento, CA area) make their servers declare tips, especially any tips that are paid on a credit card. Smaller places with less sophisticated computers, including most pizza places, do not.
