    The Free Market

I've thought about government in a very similar way; as a type of rogue company. The discussion ronpaul4pres and nickcoons are having reminds me a lot of when people talk about "natural" vs. "artificial". Some people will say something like a watch is artificial because it's man-made while...

That's really cool, thanks for posting.

Is there a fatal flaw in the Constitution?

The fatal flaw is the notion that government is necessary for peace and prosperity.

Google says copyright suit 'threatens' Net

Yeah, I do think it's a tough issue, but I would liken it to this: Let's say you have a booth at a neighborhood festival and someone you barely know says, hey I just bought this popcorn machine, why don't you use it to make some extra money? You agree and make $100 for the day with it. When...

Explaining to a Democrat why we should not give Foreign Aid

Even better, he should take his friend's wallet, that should hit a little closer to home.

Why the Libertarian party has done so badly.

Maybe an example will help here, taken from www.gop.com: "The name "Republican" was chosen because it alluded to equality and reminded individuals of Thomas Jefferson's Democratic-Republican Party." If Jefferson were alive today, he would vomit on the Republican party (Ron Paul not included)...

Why the Libertarian party has done so badly.

Bob Barr will lose, and lose bad. I'd rather be principled and lose than unprincipled and lose.

Viacom already provides online content, but that's beside the point. If they want they can lock it up in a closet and no one else has the right to it, they own it. If you believe in the validity of intellectual property, I'm not sure how you can support YouTube profiting from stolen content...

Google says copyright suit 'threatens' Net

I don't think this particular issue is as simple as "Viacom sucks". Should YouTube be able to make money from content that they have no right to and just keep that money? I think Viacom is entitled to some damages here.

    Everyday Anarchy

I visit his site (freedomainradio.com) every now and then. He puts out some pretty good stuff.

    The View on Anarchy

People aren't ready for Anarcho-Capitalism right now, but I believe it's superior to any form of government once people understand its dynamics and begin to voluntarily build an infrastructure for it. If you believe stealing is wrong, for example, how can you support the existence of the state...

Why do Sheeple keep Running their Vehicles on Gasoline?

Until I see these inventions in action in the real world, I remain extremely doubtful of them. If I created the tastiest food recipe on earth all I'd need to do is have people try it and they'd be instant believers. Why can't these inventors do the same?

Bob Barr Wins The Libertarian Nomination

Shouldn't he (and anyone else who claims to have changed views) have to prove beyond a doubt that he upholds Libertarian values before you make him top dog? I mean, it's like knowing someone who was an alcoholic for most of his life and then making him president of AA after six months off the...

62% of Voters Prefer Fewer Government Services with Lower Taxes

Yeah, that's the guy, thanks (although I could have sworn I watched a longer clip, maybe my memory's just failing me)

62% of Voters Prefer Fewer Government Services with Lower Taxes

The strange thing about polls like this is you sometimes get very different results when you dig deeper. I remember watching a video on YouTube where this guy walked around town (can't remember his name) and asked people if they thought we spent too much on illegal immigrants, and of course...
