I don't think the two have compatible philosophies. Ron Paul hasn't had any trouble raising funds, and he still has some seed money to start with.

I'm not sure, but it would be possible that Ron Paul might be able to run on either party's ticket. What they might do is to put him on the LP ticket in most states, and put him on the CP ticket in any states in which the CP might have ballot access and in which the LP doesn't have ballot access.
