My house uses many flood lights in all the common areas. Recently I've been replacing burnt out bulbs with CFL floods and visually you can't tell the difference from the standard ones once they are on. It takes them a minute to get up to full brightness but that's a small price to pay for the...
A lot of people just want a preacher to lead them and everyone else. They aren't interested in freedom, but actually want a theocracy and are happy being sheep. There are a lot of them and Huck will be their vote. It's unfortunate but strong religion and freedom seldom go together. America...
Perhaps the whole "open letter" is an attempt to get Ron Paul's name on their site to capture some of Ron's search traffic. (and make an unsubstantiated slam at Ron Paul supporters in the process). I bet that page gets more traffic than anything else on their site simply because it has Ron's...
Very true. But I don't have to fight the traffic from herds of sheeple going to the local mega-church of Hillary every Sunday so there's nothing to remind me of them :)
Sometimes I wonder what the world would be like if all the people sitting in church for an hour or two every week would en...
I don't think it's the salaries that are the issue (though that's certainly part of it). Why is it a for profit general political ad company? Who expects that a grassroots effort will fund a general for-profit startup political ad company? What do they intend to sell in the future and will I...
I was mostly kidding with the Hillary blimp thing, but I don't think it's jumping to conclusions to assume they are now a for-profit political ad company with their long term goals set well beyond this election. Seems clear from the website to me. My donations are going directly to the Ron...
Maybe they plan to sell space to other candidates if the price is right? It's a private, for-profit ad company now, not a grassroots effort. Dunno why it's in the grassroots forum.
Hillary blimp?
I'm new and donated on the 30th. And I'm ready to donate again on the 16th. My first political donations ever (if you don't include being a member of the ACLU).
Why does a for-profit company get its own section in the grassroots forum? Shouldn't they have to buy ad space like those hawking bumper stickers?
And aren't the various youtube videos about the blimp now spam and have to be removed from youtube?
The changes to what the blimp project was...
The fact that questions like these have to be asked is evidence the blimp project is now doomed. I don't think the guys running it were fully aware how tough it is to get people to donate hard earned dollars. Even the slightest whiff of something fishy and people just won't click that button...
Yep. I don't think I've ever seen anyone take such a clear success and implode it into a craptastic mess so fast. I think this will become an expensive lesson (but one that had to be learned).
