GOP establishment backs challenger in the 3rd district, but voters don’t seem to care

My local GOP Chair who isn't an Amash guy but a good analyst said that Ellis lost as soon as his "Al Qaeda's Best Friend" ad came out. He said that may be the dumbest political ad he's seen since Hoekstra's China ad.

Fundraising reports from the Tom McMillin vs Mike Bishop race

I haven't heard anything from GOA. That's still a big name here as well.

Fundraising reports from the Tom McMillin vs Mike Bishop race

NRA endorsed Bishop. In this district, that hurts Tom. Badly. That is THE number one endorsement in this district.

Peter Konetchy (MI-04): Send me to join Constitutional conservatives in Congress

I've crossed paths with Pete. He's probably more of a paleoconservative than a libertarian (as I am), but he's not a neo-con by anyone's definition. He supports nullification, auditing the fed, balancing the budget, and not meddling in international affairs.

Fundraising reports from the Tom McMillin vs Mike Bishop race

The ones I've gotten were mostly of the level of "I'm conservative and the other guy isn't." and "I'm pro 2nd Amendment". Most are generic.

Fundraising reports from the Tom McMillin vs Mike Bishop race

All I know is that I'm getting a TON of mailings from both McMillin and Bishop.

Tom McMillin candidacy needs some more national media coverage

http://www.livingstondaily.com/ Check the videos on the paper's website. There was a candidate forum and a lot of the answers were taped. Tom did well.

MI-8, McMillin vs Bishop, candidate forums set for June 24 and July 1

Tom did well in the candidate forums. Some videos are on the newspaper's website. http://www.livingstondaily.com/ I noticed our county party chair starting to make comments online about a couple of the forum answers regarding the 42nd district. I don't know who he's voting for, but those...

MI-8, McMillin vs Bishop, candidate forums set for June 24 and July 1

I've heard that Phil Campbell's the best mayor in Howell in a long time. I'm in the 42nd. I'm trying to decide between Lana Theis and Nick Fiani. There's not a chance that I'm voting for Perlberg after reading his editorials.

FreedomWorks Endorses Tom McMillin in MI-8

A lot of people, including our local county party chair who I'd consider local establishment, were waiting on State Senator Joe Hune to make a decision to run or not. Hune is running for re-election instead. Some of the Hune supporters are backing Bishop and some of them are backing McMillin. I...

Anti-NSA Republican to Replace Mike Rogers

Bishop is from Rochester which is surrounded by Rochester Hills. All three candidates are from the same area.

Politico: Wall Street may back Hillary if Rand Paul gets the nomination

These people gave us "Too big to fail", Jon Corzine, Obama, and Bill Clinton. I have about as much use for Big Wall Street as I do Big Government.

Anti-NSA Republican to Replace Mike Rogers

I'm in the Brighton area, so this is my district. The blogger/chair is a friend of both Joe Hune and Cindy Denby, and he is very favorably biased to them. I originally signed up to promote Hune because of his fiscal stances so that was my choice as well. I'd call it a tossup. I didn't know...

Justin Amash endorses Tom McMillin for MI-8

If he hasn't changed his views on abortion, I'm in for Tom.

Anti-NSA Republican to Replace Mike Rogers

I trust this guy a lot more than Susan Demas who is extremely liberal. http://republicanmichigander.blogspot.com/2014/04/mi-08-bryan-barnett-drops-out-now-its.html The guy who runs the blog is County Chair in Livingston County. I know him personally. He goes his own way on politics and is...
