As a graduate of two universities with two unrelated degrees, one in Physical Therapy and one in Accounting, I chose the former based largely on the joy of serving and helping others. As a Christian Conservative I believe this coincides with Biblical doctrine to do for others what has been so freely given to me. This same sense of community service brought about my desire to serve as your Alamance County Commissioner and I intend on giving this my all to help return Alamance county toward a more responsible self-reliant county.

Getting to know people as a Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant in Alamance County has given me an inside look at what people are dealing with. In health care, especially within people’s homes, there is a sense of trust and people open up about their struggles. Since 1995, I have spent all but two years in direct patient care physical therapy with the exception of a few years in the mortgage and finance industry. With both our health care and financial systems being in a rather troublesome position over the last several years, I feel I am suited to understand many of the problems facing our nation as a whole. At the same time, I have worked to stay informed in state and local politics to discover how I could best offer my experience. With the unique experience of working during the housing boom, in addition to fourteen years in the health care industry plus my work in the mortgage and finance industry, I believe I can make a difference locally within the state of North Carolina and Alamance County.

I am also an active member of the Republican Liberty Caucus, a group of devoted Republicans who promote individual freedom and liberty within the Republican Party. My strong belief in life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness with limited-local government shaped the desire to help ensure these enduring principles continue for our children’s future. To me, believing in our Constitution means believing in a decentralized government platform where the largest share of government power is in the hands of the states, localities and most importantly the citizens of Alamance County. In order to achieve this we must first come together on a platform of community friendship, businesses and agriculture and I am ready to lead the way in this as your Alamance County Commissioner. I look forward to a healthy discussion on liberty and freedom as a foundation for growth on my way to becoming a Alamance County Commissioner
