I placed my yard sign at 6:30 am at the polling place when I voted. I put it among others that were already there. I went back at 8 pm this evening to pick it up, and it was gone. The others were still there. There weren't any poll workers there to ask, but they probably couldn't help anyway...

There was about 6 paper-ballot booths for my Ward, and one Diebold machine up against the wall. They didn't offer me the choice.

You're taking what I wrote too far. The point is local issues are local issues and I'd rather pay taxes on the local level to take care of the issues. Schools were only an example.

I would rather pay higher local income taxes for schools and such than have to pay federal. It's all about keeping the dollars close to home where an average citizen has more influence in how the money is spent.

I agree. In fact, I'd like to see a satellite that that disintegrate targets on the surface. We demonstrate it to the world by with an island or something that nobody's using. When there's a true threat, we declare war end end it within 24 hours.
