I think this is a logical extension of the pro life decision.
The issue, however, is what constitutes harm? Strangling a child is obviously harming them. But, is, say, spanking them? Telling them about ugly facets of life? Yelling at them for doing something wrong? Sheltering them so that...
Edit: Appologies if anything in my posts have implied that I am in favor of state funding for abortion; I think most people in this thread can agree that that is a terrible idea.
Block's arguement is very interesting. Similar in ways to the notion that I can dislike Qadaffi's treatment of his...
I know abortion is a controversial issue; I do not mean for this thread to devolve into a debate over the ethics of abortion.
Until very recently, I would have considered myself staunchly pro-choice, seeing no ethical issue related to abortion. Recent events have made me reconsider this...
This sounds fucking awful. I hate TSA protocol, but I'm even more repulsed by the idea of a sx offender registry. Honestly, how ridiculous is it to combat invading people's privacy by invading other people's privacy?
I think the real question is whether or not the fed officially announces that they're helping japan out.
Edit: Seems even more likely when you consider that japan could just sell off it's us treasuries if the fed doesn't come to the rescue. And if the fed is going to spend that money anyway...
Nah, actually I think they're right, it's all because 99% of the country's population is Japanese. That has to be it.
Edit: mods I think you can close this thread now we have figured out why there are no reports of looting in japan after disaster.
I meant I was having a hard time accessing the bank of America site.
Or are you telling me to go away because I'm a noob : (
Anyway, seems like there's less traffic to that site. According to the post below the correspondence with the former employee, it looks like they don't like governor...
Bankofamericasuck.com
I'm getting a 503 error every time I try to access the site, but that's to be expected. The whistleblower appears to be some dude that worked for Bank of America in some capacity, but got capped for whatever reason. I can't wait to wake up tomorrow morning and see how...
I think the answer is probably both.
They haven't changed in the sense that they're still more or less touting the national republican party line. They have changed in the sense that that party line has changed dramatically since the network's inception.
Edit: I ain't going to hate...
So, what then? Pay lip service to limited government while calling for cultural and ethnic conformity, things that will (in this country, at least) invariably lead to more state interference in the lives of individuals? You sure you're on the right forum?
Wow, I hand't read that about the BoJ. I guess it's that surprising they're going to dump cash into the banks, but still... I mean, isn't this the same country that has a debt to GDP ratio of 200 percent? Where are they going to get the money?
Not sure if silver is going to drop 30 percent in six weeks, but the notion that silver may likely suffer a massive correction soon seems about right. And honestly, who cares? I guess that sucks if you bought some recently (I did...), but the article (and common sense) imply that silver is a...
Interesting post about eurozone on zero hedge about this friday, related specifically to the fact that japan was buying eurozone bailout bonds two years ago. Wonder what the sell off is going to be like in eurozone/us bonds by the Japanese in the coming weeks?
Sorry to thread hijack.
I'm in the market to spend ~$500 on silver, but relatively clueless about precious metals in general. Was thinking about purchasing bars. The only thing is, I'm somewhat worried about getting ripped off with silver plated bars. Am I paranoid in thinking that if I...
