"Winning Muslim Support in Michigan" - From a Muslim!

Great Idea, how about also converting muslim religious leaders so when they preach they can give a + to Ron Paul. Demonstrate how anti-muslim the other leaders are.

I told my dad to do that but he said, "it's against the law for him to preach support for a political candidate." He can however, tell people in private, but not with authority.

What might be a good idea if possible would be to put up a notice board on the various positions of the candidates in both parties in a kind of checklist format. Something like this:

(candidate names here from left to right, alphabetical order by surname)

#Voted for Iraq War O O O X O O
#View on Iraq War now X * * O * * (here X would be immediate pullout, * would be full support for war as-is, O might be phased withdrawal when possible)
#Taxes
#Patriot Act O O O X O O

and so on. Voting against the Iraq War and the Patriot Act would likely stand out on a list like that, and there would be no going against the law in this case.

We need a third in Michigan so we can be in CNN's pie chart - ok there's other reasons of course.

But does Michigan break down delegates like New Hampshire - 10 % earns at least one delegate or something.

I sent a nice email, the first email that I ever started out with Assalaamu Alaikum.
The people of the world want peace and we want it NOW, we all have to pull together to make it happen, this is an opportunity to make it!

I actually wanted Dr. Paul to visit the mosque my dad directs in Las Vegas Nevada (over 10,000+ muslims in Las Vegas alone). My dad said that if anything, it will be viewed as support for "terrorists" and will hurt Ron Paul's image. So instead, we'll spread his message in secret... :D

Your dad is a smart man! I emailed him! Great job!!

Sir, I know nothing about Muslim beliefs (Save for the few idiots who distort your religion). As an outsider looking in what words would be best suited for this email?

Your father should post an article about the remarks Mccain and Thompson made in the SC debate.

Mccain on the "Trading burkas with Al-Qaida"
and Thompson on the Iranians "Finally getting their virgins"

I would think those 2 comments are very offensive to muslims, and its not like they said these things back in 2001, they just said it a couple days ago!

Well in my experience with muslims all you have to do is tell them the position of the candidate ... (they are a quick judge) I think alot of muslims were supporting Hillary and Obama but after Obama's words about Pakistan alot of potential muslim voters were turned off. I have a muslim friend who also says that the Deomocrats although strong... may also be flip floppers.

The ironic thing is I think about 8/10 muslims in 2000 voted for Bush. Sadly I helped convince many of them.

I sent a message.

On the preacher thing - the thing these churches don't realize is they can operate and still receive donations WITHOUT being 501(c)3 and give refund receipts and then they can talk politics all they want. So sad all the churches fall for this trap :(

This is true!

bump...maybe....he could suggest the Mccaine comments and fred's aswell....also Clinton and Obama don't want a withdrawal of troops till 2013....he needs to focus on the last two though.but I believe a son can push a father to do so more than us...but ill send a mail ....
thanks

don't forget to mention the Patriot Act. The Act is a huge, huge, infringement on Muslims around this country.
