This would be a great thread to sticky, we need good ideas for local groups to work from. Is there another thread about this that I don't know about?

I'm working on stuff for the 23rd here in Charlotte, NC, but we've kind of left it to the last minute for the tea party.

I call for an official sticky thread about great plans in cities all across the land!!

yes. We're having a pre-tea party party at a local bar. 4 bands. $10 admission. 2 speakers.

Ill be at the Boston Party. Then I'll be taking part in Operation Front Door:

Support Operation Front Door!

Operation Front Door: Basically the plan is to get meetups all across the country to have a big canvassing push the week after the 16th. This will coincide with the December 16th tea party-

Picture this; You're sitting at home watching the evening news and you're seeing "Ron Paul makes another fund raising record" then 'knock-knock'- it's Ron Paul supporters at your door. That's kind of the idea. While the media is pushing the fund raising we're knocking on doors showing how strong this grassroots campaign is and offering information about Ron Paul....

Las Vegas

We're having a march through Downtown & a Tea Party in front of the IRS building in Las Vegas. Marketing to commence soon...keep an eye out!

Yes, there is a Tea Party on Bill of Rights Day. Saturday 15 December from 5 pm to 11 pm at Razor City Skate Rink. All Ron Paul supporters welcome!

Greater Pittsburgh in the works

Greater Pittsburgh is planning Tea Party reenactment. We will drop (into the river) wooden crates filled with straw (to simulate "tea"), as well as a wreath to honor American revolutionaries and freedom fighters. American Anthem will be playing and American flags will be flying. It will be a solemn moment for the cameras. Before and after this moment we plan lots of sign waving and lots of talking/interviews with the reporters.

If you are doing similar thing, make sure you write a "killer" press release and send it (fax) DAYS AHEAD to all the local media. (We are blasting 200 Mile radius.) You want media to put you on the evening news. The eyeballs that will see you during the day are only incidental. The local TV viewers, radio listeners, and local papers is what will count even more.

Your press release is a pseudo-news article. So here is your chance to inform your fellow reporters what Ron Paul stands for and why you support him. We are also mailing physical DVDs to educate the reporters. Remember some members of the media may not come out but will call you over the phone (provide contact numbers) and interview you for the story. That is why your press release needs to be complete, beyond just announcing the event. The press release story will be the basis for their story, so do a good job.

I suggest men ware ties and make this event look decent and dignified.

No link yet for this event, but we anticipate some pictures and videos to follow. Good luck!

Just imagine what will happen when media puts together the pictures from the rally with the dollar figures that will be coming in that evening from ronpaulgraphs.com.
