I have to agree. This guy is talking straight out of his ass. If he can't even start out by honestly reading the graph he is displaying, the rest of the things he says are extremely questionable. It's like a climate change video.
First of all, his graph shows a
steady rise in the dollar vs a basket of currencies
starting around 2013, not beginning when Trump was elected last year, as he tries to assert. Since the election, the existing trend has just continued.
And let's take that graph for what it's worth. It's one fiat currency being graphed against other fiat currencies. What that graph shows is that the other nations (especially China), have been more successful at devaluing their currencies (in order to benefit their trade balances).
His entire premise is based on nonsense, thus the house of cards he builds on that nonsense is meaningless. And it has nothing to do with Trump.
You want to measure the value of the dollar? Measure it against something that is not another fiat currency, or basket of fiat currencies. Measure the dollar against gold, or silver, or housing, or food, or bitcoin.
