I do not want a Republican incumbent in the White House in 2012 just in case RP is able to give it another go.

Not to mention McCain losing does more to show the RNC that they need to change policy.

Thats so true as little chance as Ron Paul would have in 2012, defeating a sitting incumbant GOP in the primaries would be impossible, and maybe by that time he would be up against Sarah Palin.
