Why are pictures of children eating pizza selling for $50,000 or more on Etsy?

I tried putting this into HF's stable-diffusion space and it rejected it as an unsafe prompt (aka they know)... :monocle:

Oh wow this is even bigger than when people found overpriced cabinets on wayfair.

High profile pedophiles are clearly the kind of people that would be interested in these pictures.

What the fuck is going on here?

Could be money laundering. Like buying a Hunter Biden piece of "art". But the pizza/children theme makes it a bit more suspicious.

You’d have to be blind to not put the dots together on this one. I should troll them, though. I’ll get an account and sell pictures of pizza for $1,000 and then send actual pictures of pizza to them.

Seriously, though, when you’ve got listings promising discrete shipping, you know exactly what this is.

You seem to be a smart feller.

What are these listings all about?

You're not even mildly curious as to what this is, are you?

I'm curious but there's so many really dull explanations. My two most likely choices are a person trying to get attention or a bot doing bot things.

It costs nothing to put these listings up. Chances are nobody has ever purchased any of them.

The first question is, who benefits from these listings being up on Etsy?

Aside from whoever runs the End Wokeness Twitter account.

Because child sex trafficking is not a thing? Or because it wouldn't appear so openly and blatantly on a site like Etsy?

Because there's zero evidence of this being child sex trafficking. Just like Wayfair. Just like Comet Pizza. Just like Podesta.

Pizzagaters and their ilk see child trafficking everywhere except where it is actually occurring.

There's, "zero evidence"? The term "pizza" has definitively been associated with child sex trafficking. And are we seriously going to assume that some AI created images of CHILDREN with PIZZA would sell for dollar amounts into the tens of thousands?

You know, there IS "zero" evidence... until someone looks at something that is starkly suspicious and starts looking into it. Then they find evidence. That's how these things work.

There are peculiarities in the world, and it is odd, and notable, that every time they pop up, you're first in line to dismiss them, regardless of how valid they may be.

Absolutely no evidence. There's nothing suspicious about John Podesta ordering 14 year old pizzas to his hot tub? Who doesn't enjoy finely aged pizzas.

Hold the horses, kemosabe. Zero evidence? There's been a ton of circumstantial evidence. I can link to the original looooong Pizzagate thread if you need a refresher. No, there's not been prima facie evidence but convictions on large amounts of circumstantial evidence happen all the time, when presented along with motive and opportunity.

Fwiw, I was convinced once even local news abruptly starting running lockstep "NO THAT'S NOT TRUE!" stories, in unison, after it gained traction on social media, as if directed to by central media planners. I was like "what? why is the local anchor who usually only talks about local items, sports and weather now trying to convince me that an internet CT isn't true?"

The most interesting part of the Pizzagate stuff for me was the allegation/revelation that Chester Bennington was the hidden son of John Podesta. Dunno if true but LP's music and Chester's strange death soon after Pizzagate went viral was intriguing. Definitely shades of Illuminati behavior there.

Nope, no symbolism on his Twitter header there. Carry on.
