OK. I think I'm reading this right, but I want some independent verification.

Here is the new process in my state for become a delegate to the state GOP convention and to the national convention:

http://www.wvgop.org/convention.html

We need delegates if we are to nominate Ron Paul. Can someone please read that and tell me what I have to do to become a "Delegate at Large"? Also, what's this business about "committees supporting a candidate for president" submitting lists of delegates?

Thanks. :)

You need to contact your county GOP and ask to be a delegate. Counties that voted for Kerry in 2004 will get 1 citizen delegate per 1000 voters. If your county voted for Bush in 2004, you'll have a better chance.

Thanks, but I think there's a lot more to it than that. :(

What's the deal with forming a committee to support a candidate and submitting a list of delegates for a $2,000 fee?

I'm going to have to read through this thing a lot more carefully tonight.

Somebody at your county GOP can explain it to you in plain English. You don't have to try and force yourself to understand it all.

But I want to. :D

They know I'm a Paul man, and I don't want 'em trying to pull the wool over my eyes.
