I read that book when I was in Germany. I've never seen it here, and I don't even remember the exact name of the book now, but it was a very good book.

The most telling and disturbing part of the wiki article:

Prior to their deaths, several members of the White Rose believed that their execution would stir university students and other anti-war citizens into a rallying activism against Hitler and the war. Accounts suggest, however, that university students continued their studies as usual, citizens mentioned nothing, many regarding the movement as anti-national.

I wonder if there was an unintended consequence of instilling more fear and guilt into those leaflets resulting in further passivity? What would have happened if they were written in such a way that didn't shut down the reader? They included quotes by Lao Tzu - come on - who understands this ancient asian perhaps mythical philosophical old man? What if they were kept ultra simple by asking questions like? Do you really believe that you are better than people living the land called Poland? Are you sure? .... Are really really sure?
Do you have a secret wish to be taken of? Why might you have this wish?

Any other keep it simple type questions that doesn't shame or guilt trip? Questions that open up and liberate?

How about: Corporations and their investors believe that if someone can be tricked into giving up their resources or become their servant, then they deserved it. Do you agree?
