I think this is the consensus: Do more money bombs to fund grassroots efforts (operation NH). At the same time, plan the telethon.

Here's an idea - February 3, 2008 is the Super Bowl.
Feburary 5, 2008 is Super Tuesday.

Do something on Feburary 3, 2008.

That might be a good time for a telethon, infomercial, or whatever.

Buy TV on a different network during halftime of the Super Bowl.

If you're looking for a cute name, "Super Paul Money Bomb" "Super Paul Telethon"
might work but I'm sure those names can be bested.

What about a commercial informing everybody of a moneybomb during the superbowl?

IMO, A telethon is an order of magnitude greater than launching a blimp. We have seen the difficulty of the blimp (but I think it was and is a good idea), and I just see organizing a telethon before super Tuesday as an impossibility.

Its really not fanciful.

I have contacted some independent studios and speaking to execs. that have been running telethons since 1985.

The price may surprise you.

Money needs to be raised, but there also needs to be support for grassroots efforts. For instance, the blimp is still short around $120,000 with Friday the deadline. There needs to be money for that. Also, Operation NH needs a lot of money. However, all the same I think beating $20 million for the quarter should be a goal and any money bombs should be a while from now, like a month.

What I am thinking is why dont we have a telethon to raise funds for operationNH

Airtime Iowa, Airtime NH, Airtime SC, Airtime Nevada, Airtime Michigan.

In conjunction with the national telethon promoting the above existing programs.

This way everyone feels they can contribute that last stretch, not a money bomb but a take it to the people directly ourselves.

IN OTHER WORDS A...

RON PAUL TV BLITZ !!!!

First, Telethon needs to be done, this can raise more money than any other concept that's been discussed to date. However, the target market for this telethon needs to be determined and the show designed accordingly.

Second, a portion of the Telethon funds should be allocated to the Campaign, with a remaining portion of the fund allocated to delegates and grassroots efforts, both online and offline. There are a number of excellent initiatives and all require funding. The telethon, if executed correctly, could give ALL initiatives a boost.

Last, can we add "Commission a National Poll" to this list please?
