What info should I send a friend of mine that supports Obama?

Well Obama supports the war going past 2013...Ron Paul doesn't...Obama wants higher taxes...Ron Paul wants no more IRS and income tax

You can tell him Obama had recently voted to fund the war. He is inexperienced (3 years in federal govt). While RP has served in Congress for way way longer and has a solid voting record.

Another thing to point: "The Senate agreed on Thursday to increase the federal debt limit by $850 billion -- from $8.965 trillion to $9.815 trillion -- and then proceeded to approve a stop-gap spending bill that gives the Bush White House at least $9 billion in new funding for its war in Iraq. Ron Paul is the only republican that votes against it." http://www.thenation.com/blogs/thebeat?bid=1&pid=237751

Obama was one of the cowards among other democratic presidential candidate who did not vote.

My personal favorite video: http://ronpaulishope.com/

A copy of the constitution and the bill of rights.

Highlight the parts about declaration of war and states rights.

Obama promised amnesty for 20+ million illegals, which as has been shown - to always result in the economic descent of african americans. Infact there are a few statistics that show the negative impact illegals have on black americans.

Obama addressed AIPAC and basically supported the possibility of bombing iran.

To me, he is just a polished version of Hillary - without all the connections to the power elites.

Oh and did Obama sign that pledge to uphold the constitution and not abuse his executive power or something like that?

Honestly just send him two videos: A new hope, and the latest Bernanke grilling, and then stress that Ron Paul is the real change candidate; Obama is more status quo than people think he is.

Either it works and he'll get curious for more, or it wont. That's the way to go in my opinion. Don't overwhelm him.

This is a list of points against Obama I posted on my blog recently. Hope it helps.

1. The war. He wouldn't commit to pulling out of Iraq by 2013. Um, I want a candidate for change, not a candidate who profits from a peace message and then doesn't act on those issues. Hell, he's even funded the war in the past (source).

2. Barack Obama was one of the cowards from the Democratic Party to intentionally not show up to vote against this: "The Senate agreed on Thursday to increase the federal debt limit by $850 billion -- from $8.965 trillion to $9.815 trillion -- and then proceeded to approve a stop-gap spending bill that gives the Bush White House at least $9 billion in new funding for its war in Iraq." Source. For those who aren't as familiar with the political game, not showing up to vote means, "I want to vote against it, but then the media will be at my throat. So I'll skip the vote and in effect be voting no without having to take any real flack for it."

3. He's only spent three years in the Senate. I don't like voting for candidates who don't have enough experience, honestly.

4. He voted to make English the only government sanctioned common language (see voting record previously linked for this and the next few points).

5. He voted to raise congressional pay when they clearly don't need it.

6. He voted against a law that "would prohibit undocumented immigrants convicted of aggravated felonies, domestic violence, stalking, violation of protection orders, crimes against children, or crimes relating to the illegal purchase of firearms, from gaining legal status."

7. Listen, I'm pro-choice, but if a partial birth abortion is performed and the fetus lives after the abortion...it is not longer a fetus, it's a baby. If it lives for eight hours on its own after the abortion, I think doctors have a responsibility to see to the care of it. Obama disagrees and voted against a bill to protect born fetuses in 2001. Source.

8. Barack Obama and Dick Cheney are cousins. Eighth cousins, anyway (source). We need to stop voting the same family in over and over. Okay, I'm not really serious about this one. :P

9. He wants to shift our military focus to Pakistan: "When I am president, we will wage the war that has to be won. The first step must be to get off the wrong battlefield in Iraq and take the fight to the terrorists in Afghanistan and Pakistan... If we have actionable intelligence about high-value terrorist targets and President Musharraf won't act, we will." Source.

10. Obama has made pretty speeches against special interest groups, but he has more tariff suspension bills than any other candidate. He's helped lobbyists save $12 million dollars that would have otherwise been rightfully taxed to their corporations. Source.

Now, there are several things Obama has done that I fully support. The big picture, however, paints a man who is being propelled more on charisma than anything else. I want a well spoken, strongly convicted black man to be president one day...but if his record doesn't stand up, then Obama doesn't deserve the privilege.

"But," you might be protesting, "are you saying you'd rather see Hillary Clinton get the nomination?" It's not as simple as that. You can't vote for someone just because you like the other person less. You look for other alternatives, you look for someone who you can really get behind and support. Maybe for you that's Mike Gravel or Bill Richardson or even Ron Paul, who knows. But you have to dig for this stuff, you can't just let the media hand you your supposed two choices and let that be the end of the beginning.

i'd either cut and paste or send him a link to www.opensecrets.org and show him the list of Top Contributors of all the major candidates.

Obama's major contributors are the same corporate/globalist special interests that Hilary, Guiliani, Edwards, McCain, etc are recieving. Out of the major candidates, only Dr. Paul's top contributors include members of the US Military, pro 2nd amendment groups, and pro-liberty groups.

I'd also mention that his wife is a CFR member, and show him a list of the notable past and present CFR members in the government and major media.

and obama stopped wearing his flag pin... that was a big deal in the media for some reason, maybe that person cares about that stuff more like many blind americans

In addition to the things already posted:

Obama is CFR.

Also, for reasons I don't know, he does not seem to like to say the Pledge of Allegiance or sing the National Anthem ?!?!?!? Not really my idea of patriotic. . . .

Most people don't even know what being CFR means. The average person think it's conspiracy theory stuff. So I don't think that would be very effective.

This photo has already been discussed at length, both here at this forum and at Snopes.com. Even if it were 100% legitimate -- which it clearly isn't -- what an incredibly STUPID thing to criticize a candidate for. It makes us look sophomoric and like we're grasping at straws. Read my list above for valid, logical reasons to oppose his candidacy.
