I don't know how to raise the funds for airing it, but I think people will rally to it and the Revolution will be strong again!!!

umm if we can get video to go viral, we might be able to get media to talk about it. so the goal is to digg it, spread it, blog it, post it on forums, sites, email it, put it on facebook, myspace etc

I'm down to raise funds to air it in states that haven't voted. 60 second ads are 2x the cost, but we could target major cities in select states.

I emailed the campaign and asked them to show the video to RP and see if he would do a short youtube video to the grassroots asking for $X million to air this nationally. They can probably get better prices than we can, just a guess I have no idea. And the idea would be something we could rally behind and show that we can still raise cash when needed.

I second this idea. Someone start a chip-in to run this on a major network (ie. NBC) during primetime for the minimum number of 1 minute slots.

It will lead more people to research Ron Paul on their own and will therefore grow our numbers.

edit: okay, maybe OptionsTrader idea is better.

I disagree... MTV has a much smaller viewership and a lot of the viewers it does have are people under 18 who aren't politically minded...

On the plus side, it would be much cheaper than airing it on NBC, ABC, or CBS, and yes, it does have a younger demographic, which is, as I said previously, also kind of a negative.

MTV is better than CNN or something, but I still think one of the big networks that isn't a cable-only station would be the way to go.

I think the best thing to do is show it during primetime on a major network. American Idol finale cost 1.3 million for 30 seconds and a lot of people watch that, they will definitely look up Ron Paul after watching the commercial. If we can start chipping in, maybe it's possible to raise 2.6 million. Otherwise show it during the finale of another big show. This commercial can encourage people to look up Dr. Ron Paul !!!!
