We made Glenn Beck and the Liberty movement what it is today...

I haven't been on these boards in awhile, so I don't know if this has been discussed. Seriously, Glenn Beck was a neocon poster child before The Ron Paul Revolution. The last Tea Party looked an awful lot like a Ron Paul rally. Didn't we have the first non-communist Tea Party in the modern era? I feels so awesome to know some of the things going on right now are because of the tremendous effort so many of us put in early on. Whether we are recognized or not, we know the truth. We were there when liberty was reborn!!! I started Ron Paul meetup 39 with over 120 mostly active members in a very sparsely populated area of the Country and I just want to say how thankful I was to be a part of that, with those people! You know something is going on. I see smear reports on the major networks daily.

I have wondered to what extent the current "tea party" movement may have been inspired by the RP campaign? After all, I do not recall the name before "Tea Party '07." Dec. 16th., 2007. Seriously, can anyone else? Has anyone researched this? I did hear about a "tea bag" movement where people were supposed to mail their Congressman a tea bag as a symbol. Maybe this was the source.

Welcome back to the forums.

What you are expressing is something I was just thinking about earlier today myself. All of this that we are seeing is because people like us have refused to be quiet, we have stuck by our principles and we turned this from support for a Presidential campaign into a movement.

Now I can certainly say that we have all done a good job of doing what we can to advance the cause of liberty but this is not enough. Now we see that people are listening, changing their minds or at least have stopped laughing. The time to turn it up is now.

If you are not involved with your local CFL than get involved
If you are not attending your local tea parties than now is the time to start going
If you have thought about running for office than now is the time to run

Look at what is going on folks - this is what we started so man (or woman) up and let's finish the job and in a few years I hope to embrace every one of you as restore sanity in Washington D.C.

There is definitely something big going on and if we don't watch it, they will marginalize us back into irrelevance as a political force. Believe me , they are hard at work trying to undermine this movement.

meh...I give up on these forums bothering to gain support for Beck. Conspiracy theorists would rather think he is an evil demon than a human being with faults. I remember being at the EXACT point that he is in his political beliefs. Because he is on TV, he somehow becomes super human and can't have intellectual transition. Remember Stossel used to push for more regulation? How dare he change his mind? Must've just been to distinguish himself, not real ideological change.
